Oh come on, you know the real answer. It's because all those good heterosexual husbands are just dying to jump the fence and get gay married. Really, you DON'T want to legalize gay marriage. Think of the floods of newly divorced and desperately horny Mormons who will be knocking down your door looking for satisfaction! I mean, have you SEEN how those guys DRESS? Ugh! Please, for everyone's sake, keep gay marriage illegal and keep them safely trapped in their fake heterosexual marriages where they won't bother the rest of us. It's better this way for everyone! And don't even get me started on the Evangelicals. You don't want to go there!

Yeah I never understood that either. Why bother divorcing the cheating ho when you've already stoned her to death? Seems like the textbook definition of 'a day late and a dollar short.'

Hey, wait! That's what we need to add to your awesome defense of marriage act to make it perfect: legalized stoning for adultery. But only female adultery of course. Can't have half the Senate getting stoned to death before mid-term elections!

Thank you so much for this website! This proposition is the funniest thing I've heard in months, and it's absolutely hysterical how many people actually think it's real. And how humorless they are about it. I guess we now understand the, er, lack of imagination that motivated the idiots who voted for Proposition 8. 'Step on other people's rights, no problem. Step on my (narrowly defined and selfish) rights, and LOOK OUT!'

The self-righteous tone of the people defending THEIR divorces in which THEY were one hundred percent right is also pretty entertaining. Sheesh! I'm sure all you guys were a real treat to be married to, and your ex-spouses are crying all the way to divorce court.

I am a lesbian who is in a long term commited domestic partnership relationship and I feel that this proposal is EXACTLY what CA has asked for when it passed Prop 8 and denied me the right to get married in an effort to preserve traditional marriage. Current statistics show that 60% of all marriages end in divorce, which causes pain and suffering on the children of said marriages. People need to take their marriage vows seriously and not think of them with a "fast food" "quick fix" mentality. We have become a society that when things get hard in a relationship we run to the courts to undo what we don't want to take the time to work out. Marriage is a serious thing, that is why we in the LGBT community fought so hard to have the right to marry, our comunity takes it more seriously than the straight community.

This proves one more time that CA got all the nuts. We are so lucky in the other 49 states. Got to go, I do not want to waste my time with this clown.

Hi guys!
I am only 19. So I know I don't have a whole lot of experience in this area. I have recently been trying to make a difficult choice, but after reading this, I have been able to come to a conclusion. See, I was raised in a very religious home, when I left for college I met an amazing man and against my parents wishes; we moved in together and began having premarital sex. I have been feeling very guilty about it and expressed these feeling to my boyfriend. We both agreed that in order for our souls to live together forever in Heaven, we should get married. According to the Holy Bible, it would really be my only choice.
However, after reading this article today; I've realized that it is better to just continue living together in sin. I mean, I'm not sure I can handle the responsibility of a marriage and the threat of being FORCED to stay with any one person for the rest of my life, to have absolutely NO SAY in the matter; makes me feel like I am living in the Middle East. It honestly scares the hell out of me. It also made me realize that it would be a lot easier to just continue doing what I'm doing. Thanks guys!!
PALIN 2012!!

So I'm suppose to stay married to my husband who has had an affair and was unfaithful. I trying to get both of us into concealing or a psychologist or even see a pastor. My Husband does not want to seek help at all. He thinks that concealing or psychologist are quakes and don't need to see the pastor or need help.He can fix it himself. His 1st marriage he did the same thing. I was not aware of this behavior. I have tryed to make amends. So your saying I cant get divorced if this I ballot passes?? when HE is the one that committed the Adultery. I don't know if this other person he had the affair with may have sexual transmitted diseases like AIDS,HIV or other diseases. YOUR NUTS MAN!I have Been faithful and my vows are important but, he made the decision to have the affair. You people need to really think about this ballot.Because your going to have a lot a people very upset about this. and your treading on thin waters. What happens when you have a person that is mental and physical abuse specially women and children. What about women who get murdered because of a man being abusive. my Kids turned out fine from a prier divorce. 1st husband cause adultery too.You don't sat because of the kids. because kids need 2 parents to be ok. look at all the single parent there children are fine.MY mom and dad divorce when i was 5years old and I turned out fine.YOu people need to really think about this ballot. I vote NO!!!!
