Concerned divorce mom. Concern should also be what your daughter is learning from you. Why did you remarry a different man giving her a step-father? Or did you sleep with someone out of wed-lock to produce your daughter. Either way, maybe your decisions going forward should be in tune with Jesus' wisdom.

Try raising your daughter with the church until she has left the home. You have a lot of damage to make up for right now, you don't need another man to mess that us.

You are forgiven if and only if you repent. Turn away from your sin, and rescue your daughter from your behaviors too before she goes seeking satisfaction from men (as you do).

Men can only priesthood which they become fathers and women can only bear children whicn they become mothers. Being mother is greatest gift. The family must go to be sealed as one. The marriage can be eternal between a man and a woman in the mormon temples.

Mr. Thunder......wow. What about people who physically cannot have children (perhaps because of people who believe that the mother should have stayed and prayed her husband from raping the daughter.....daughter grows up and cannot have children because her own father who should have protected her, destroyed her womb.) Sooooo, Mr. Thunder I guess you would say it is all the mother's fault for not praying hard enough. Wow. You are really making us Christians look like fruit cakes.

Amen Sonic! An praying a husband into salvation even when unequally yoked is ridiculous!
We are all to pray for one another but blaming someone for someone's lack of salvation IS asinine. What kind of person submits their helpless (the least of those) children to molestation? Sorry friends not biblical. Protect life...born and unborn

Hey, I agree with you so much on this issue. Divorce should be banned. And adultery punishable by law, but can you please change the title of this? That scripture says nothing about Jesus' love. Jesus died for our sins. Everyone is a sinner and he loves us the same whether we sin a little or a lot. Please change this page's title. I'm looking out for you cuz it can cause lots of controversy. just change it to? Jesus said divorcing is committing adultery, do you want to commit adultery or something. But not about his love. Please. That is biblicly incorrect.

It seems like it is hard for divorce parents to seal to their children without the LDS temples. If Eternal Marriage is valuable, so why do most LDS don't value it.

No, Jesus does not mention homosexuality, but the New Testament does: 1 Cor 6:9-10.

Know you not that the unjust shall not possess the kingdom of God? Do not err: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, Nor the effeminate, nor liers with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor railers, nor extortioners, shall possess the kingdom of God.

um. Jesus love you whether or not you get a divorce. he loves us the same amount. yes, you will bear the consequences for the divorce. but that does not mean he loves you less. where is your biblical basis saying that he will love one less.

All those details can be worked out. For instance maybe the law against divorce could go into effect with exceptions. Like if you file charges and the courts convict your spouse of abuse toward you or your children you could petition for a divorce. Abused spouses deserve to put the abuser behind bars and children need to see strong values that show this country will not tolerate the act. Am guessing a law banning divorce would reasonable require laws making it easier to convict and jail an abusive spouse or parent.

Of course if we are truly interested in 'traditional marriage' than we would allow wife beatings because for most of the vast history of marriage women were a commodity married to provide progeny and put food on the table. It had nothing to do with love.

I guess we have to decide how 'traditional' we want to make marriage? Go back to dowries and arranged loveless marriages? Go back to drag her by the hair to your home? Go back to Abrahams day when a wife plus others was the norm? Many of Jesus lineage had concubines yet God chose that particular lineage! Maybe tradition was meant to be between one man and many women after all? LOL
